About Rynski: Freelance Writer

The Short

Ryn Gargulinski (Rynski) is a writer with a focus on creative business content. When she’s not writing, she’s creating art, gardening, meditating or napping with her dogs. If you are interested in hiring her (me), click here.

The Long

Some kids are born with a silver spoon – I was born with a Sharpie marker. OK, maybe it came a bit later than my actual birth date. But it was there pretty quick. Once I learned how to remove the cap, all bets were off. My writing and art career had begun.

I created my first book of illustrated poems at age 8, won my first journalism award by age 17. I’ve been pounding computer keyboards and creating art ever since. Creativity is part of my DNA, and I absolutely love helping brands perfect their message.

Six fun facts about me and my writing work:

1.) I’m not your conventional business writer and consultant ready to kick around jargon and bore the world to death. Not my thing. My goal is to add a spark to your creative content – while staying true to your brand – and make your audience fall in love with you.

2.) Your brand doesn’t have to be “fun” to begin with (although it makes my job easier). I’ve written content for brands that are not necessarily considered a laugh-a-minute, such as pest control, construction, cyber security and international finance firms.

3.) Coaches, Reiki practitioners and other energy and spiritual healers are some of my favorite clients, as I am all of the above myself. I’m a certified professional coach and Reiki master currently in a Hypnoenergy Therapist certification program.

4.) My biggest writing challenge was my master’s thesis on the folklore of NYC subway workers. An excerpt was published in Voices: The Journal of NY Folklore. The project took more than two years and hundreds of interviews.

5.) My biggest life challenge was giving up drinking, which I did in 1999. Recovery is an ongoing project that takes a lifetime – and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

6.) I love animals, especially dogs and wolves (rats and goats tie for third).
